The Living Room Collective is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit pop-up art platform dedicated to building community through art, dialogue, and presence. Founded by Samantha Gonzalez, Ashley Landaverde, and AJ Ortiz, our mission is to create accessible spaces for artists and audiences who are often left out of traditional art venues. Our upcoming exhibition, "From Roots to Revolution," is our first major show, and it’s rooted in the urgent need to confront the histories and realities that shape the lives of Latine and immigrant communities in LA.
This exhibition brings together a vibrant group of artists—Antonio Perez, Uber Lopez Enamorado, Felix Quintana, Jasmine Luna, Chris Luna, Jose Flores, Peña Espinoza, and Javier Ruiz—alongside zine vendors and folklorico dancers. We are also collaborating with graphic designer Aurora Cecconi, who will design our promotional materials and show catalogue. Our goal is to spotlight emerging, self-taught, and underrepresented artists whose work is grounded in lived experience, culture, and social commentary.
The show will take place on November 1st from 5-9pm at 157 W 27th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007. Funds raised will go directly toward paying our graphic designer, venue, dancers, and covering printing and fabrication costs for the artists’ work. Every catalogue sold at the show will be donated to CHIRLA, supporting immigrant rights and advocacy. By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping launch a new platform for Latino artists, fostering community, and standing in solidarity with those whose stories deserve to be seen and heard. Join us in making space for radical imagination, cultural memory, and collective action—one show at a time.
