From Paris cabaret to combat fatigues.

Hi everyone,

I am here to ask for help for a friend, Artem. Not for himself but for his family.

I have known Artem since 2006 when I worked with him at The Moulin Rouge in Paris as a dancer, later he travelled the world performing on a cruise ship before returning to Paris, working again as a dancer and also in our local bar. He returned home to Ukraine after the Covid pandemic to start his life there with his family and loved ones, though unfortunately, it was short-lived. When the Russian invasion began he like many others stepped forward to protect his country, his home and his loved ones. No more bright lights on stage for him, instead he has swapped it for combat fatigues.

Artem has always stood proudly on his own feet and never asked for a handout, and even now asks for help, not for himself or his comfort but for that of his family. As this war continues, the luxuries we take for granted daily become more and more expensive and difficult to attain, and even running water for everyday use is very hard to come by now.

The money raised here will be for that. Food, water and basic medical supplies, all the things we can nip out to the shop and get easily.

We can never imagine what he and his family go through on a daily basis and realise how lucky we all are not to be in that situation, if this is all we can do to help then please join us. Any donation will be greatly appreciated, thank you for anything that you can give.
