Milada's Hope: A Loving Family Awaits

Help bring Milada home to a wonderful family

Milada is a beautiful 1-year-old girl. She was born via surrogacy in Ukraine as an American citizen but due to life-threatening medical issues, she was abandoned by her biological parents and left as an infant in the middle of a war. After surviving numerous life-saving surgeries, Milada was recovering in Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital when it was hit by a Russian cruise missile, killing four people and injuring numerous others.

As she continued to sit in the hospital while the paperwork for her citizenship was finalized, she met Andy, a loving father of four from Philadelphia working in Ukraine. Once Andy told his family (Megan, Jack, Mia, Will, and Anna), they all immediately recognized Milada as their new daughter/sister.

Megan immediately went to work getting the family certified for adoption and foster care as well as finding an attorney. The process to get Milada back to the USA is a long one that continues to chug along.

While Andy and Megan are not seeking money to support them, just wanting to add another loving child to their family, this journey has not been cheap and they have already spent upwards of $15,000 with a minimum of another $15,000 anticipated.
