Hi, my our names are Randy and Jackie. We are parents to four amazing kids, and I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this , but right now, we are doing it for them.
Our family of six is asking for help after losing the home we believed we were buying.
We entered into a lease-to-own agreement and, to date, have paid over $24,000 toward this home. For our children, this wasn’t just a house, it was home. It was where they felt safe, celebrated milestones, and believed they had stability.
Over the past few months, the owner we were buying from began acting increasingly shady. Due dates were suddenly changed without warning, which resulted in late fees we had no way to avoid. Between October and December alone, we were charged $10,800, much of it made up of questionable fees and sudden demands that were never part of the original agreement.
Despite doing everything we could to keep up, we are now being forced out, just days after Christmas.
This has left our family completely blindsided. Instead of our kids enjoying the holidays, we are scrambling to figure out where we will live next. Christmas looks very different when your children are worried about losing their beds, their toys, and the only home they know.
We are asking for help to secure stable housing for our children, and get back on our feet after this devastating loss. Any donation, share, or kind word means more than we can put into words.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us give our kids the stability they deserve.
