Help Us Build More Than a Playground — Help Us Build Community

For nearly 10 years, Maple Glen Housing Co-operative has been without a playground.

What was once a place for children to play has sat empty, leaving generations of children without a dedicated space to gather, explore, and create memories. But we see something more than an empty space—we see an opportunity to build a vibrant community hub where children can laugh, families can connect, friendships can grow, and neighbours can come together.

Today, we are excited to share that Maple Glen Housing Co-operative has partnered with KABOOM! and Foresters Financial to bring a brand-new playground to our community.

Through this incredible partnership, much of the playground equipment, design support, and build coordination are being provided. However, Maple Glen must still raise funds to prepare the site and support the Community Build Day that will bring this playground to life.

Funds Raised Will Help Cover:

• Tree removal and root grinding to prepare the playground site

• Site preparation and landscaping work• Safety surfacing and site improvements

• Tool and equipment rentals

• Tents, tables, and chairs for volunteers

• Food and refreshments for Community Build Day participants

• Volunteer support supplies and event materials

• Other essential costs required to ensure a successful build

This playground will not only serve the children of Maple Glen Housing Co-operative, but also children and families throughout the surrounding community.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to transforming an empty space into a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place where children can play, learn, and thrive.
