First and foremost, we want to express how deeply grateful we are for the outpouring of support, love, and generosity we received through TJ’s first GoFundMe. Your kindness gave us the strength and means to navigate a very difficult time. Thanks to you, TJ was able to travel to Boston and undergo a specialized embolization procedure to treat his rare and aggressive spinal hemangioma.

However, we are now facing the next—and most critical—chapter of TJ’s journey.

What’s Happening Now

This week, they received difficult news: TJ’s T12 vertebra has completely collapsed, His medical team has now scheduled a major spinal reconstruction surgery for August 27th.

TJ will undergo a spinal surgery. This is a complex and high-risk surgery. TJ will be in the hospital for 4–5 days, followed by a 10–14 day stay in Boston for recovery, monitoring, and pain management. After returning home, he will begin physical therapy as part of his healing process.
