From Ashes to Hope: Restoring Beauty and Dreams in Nederland

Hi, my name is Bryce Spaur, and I’m raising funds for my mother, Debbie Lawrence Spaur.

Just this week, my mom’s lifelong dream — something she’s worked toward for decades — was tragically taken from her. She had just opened her very own hair salon, Picasso’s Hair Artistry, in her favorite little mountain town of Nederland, Colorado. It was her pride and joy — the culmination of years of sacrifice, hard work, and faith. She poured her entire life savings into it, spending countless late nights designing, decorating, and preparing for the salon’s grand opening — which was supposed to be this Friday.

But that dream was reduced to ashes overnight.

A massive fire swept through the entire shopping complex in Nederland, burning every single shop to the ground — including my mom’s. She lost everything: her equipment, her expensive salon products, her furniture, her artwork, her tools, her keepsakes — all gone. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but what we do know is that her heart is broken.

My mom has always been the kind of person who gives everything she has to others. She’s poured love into her clients, friends, and family for years, helping people feel confident and beautiful. She finally had the chance to create something of her own — and in one night, it was all taken away.

We’re asking for help to rebuild what she’s lost — to help her get back on her feet and reopen her salon when she’s ready. The funds will go toward replacing her lost equipment and supplies, covering rent and expenses while she’s unable to work, and helping her recover from this devastating loss.
