From a tent in Gaza : Helpus stay alive

My name is Firas Al-Za’anin, and I am from Gaza City, Palestine.

My family consists of my wife, our baby girl Zeina, and my elderly parents.

I got married in July 2023, full of hope for a peaceful future. But less than two months later, war erupted—an extermination war that destroyed everything beautiful in our lives. I lost our home, my job, and many of my relatives. We were left with nothing but survival.

In June 2024, God blessed us with our daughter, Zeina. She is now one year old. But instead of celebrating her first birthday, we are fighting every day just to keep her alive.

We live in a makeshift tent with no electricity, no clean water, and barely any food. There are no diapers, no baby milk, no medication. Her mother cannot breastfeed due to severe malnutrition. My daughter crawls on dirty ground, surrounded by dust and disease. We cook over a wood fire, which is dangerous and unhealthy for a baby.

There is no work. There is no way out. We are trapped under siege, forgotten by the world.

All I ask is for a chance to survive — to provide food, warmth, and basic care for my baby. Your donation, no matter how small, can help me give Zeina a future. It can help me protect my wife, my daughter, and myself from the slow death we face every day.

From the heart of Gaza, from under the rubble, I send you this plea.
