Frogtown Food Support: Keep MN Families Warm and Fed

What we do

Frogtown Food Support is a group of friends and neighbors in the Frogtown neighborhood of Saint Paul, working to keep each other safe, fed, and housed in the fallout of the federal occupation of our state.

Though our group is located in Frogtown, we support families across the Twin Cities metro area. For weeks, we have coordinated secure grocery deliveries for more than 80 families targeted by this administration in Saint Paul, Minneapolis, and the surrounding suburbs.

Increasingly, the families we support need help to cover rent and other utilities. The need is growing faster than we can meet it on our own. Now, we're asking for your help to keep more than 80 families warm and safe in their homes.

How your donation will help

The more than 80 families we support came to us through trusted networks of friends, family, and community. For their safety and privacy, those we are sending these funds to must remain anonymous. We are in direct contact with specific families in need who have been unable to safely leave their homes, and who are now at risk of losing them. They reach out to us each week to request our help with food, and they are now reaching out to us directly to ask for help to stay in their homes.

Funds will be delivered one-by-one to families we know through the same direct, trusted connections we have forged. Funds will be prioritized to prevent eviction and keep the lights on. Any funds that remain will go towards our ongoing food support work and that of Feeding Frogtown, a program of Frogtown Neighborhood Association that has nourished our community for over a decade.

Who we are

This fundraiser is being managed by Emily Weber, Juana Ramos, and Shiori Konda. We are Frogtown residents connected to a larger group of neighbors organizing through Frogtown Food Support. Funding decisions are made by a Stewardship Committee led by Juana and Shiori with others from our group. After a decision is made, funds are withdrawn by Emily and immediately delivered to the family in need by whoever in our network is in direct, trusted communication with them.

Receipts for purchases and proof that funds have been sent out can be requested once payments have been made. To protect the safety and privacy of our vulnerable neighbors, names and other identifying information will be omitted. To request more information, please send us a message or email.

Help us support our Twin Cities neighbors

We've grown close to each of these families over the last six weeks. We've met their children and their grandmothers. We've heard stories of the family they left behind when they came here. We've seen joy on their faces and fear in their eyes. We have no intention of turning our backs on them now.

We know there are many more hands and hearts ready to join with ours. Please contribute any amount you can to support these families. Whether you can give $5, $50, or $5,000, every dollar helps.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 by the end of the month, with an ultimate goal to raise $10,000 by March 6 to keep our neighbors in their homes.

In Minnesota, we keep us safe, housed, and warm. Otro mundo es posible.
