Due to circumstances beyond our control, a large portion of the aquatic community

and other interested communities did not hear about this opportunity before the

original deadline. To give everyone a chance to help make a new pool a reality, we

have extended the campaign.

Imagine Bainbridge Island with a world-class aquatic and fitness facility that can support the needs of Bainbridge Island and other Kitsap County residents for decades to come. A state-of-the-art complex with the space and infrastructure required to serve swimmers, water polo players and other aquatic center users of all ages and abilities. A facility that is energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and flexible enough to meet the needs of a wide range of water sports, lessons, water safety, and physical therapy activities.

Together we can fulfill this dream much sooner than anyone could have imagined, but the first step is to fund the feasibility study by Thursday, August 31st.

“Friends of the New Bainbridge Pool” is commissioning the above-mentioned feasibility study to establish exactly what kind of aquatic center the community needs and can support. Everyone has an opinion about what should be included in a new facility, but we need hard data to move forward in a logical and budget-conscious manner. This GoFundMe page was established to help pay for the $45,000 new pool feasibility study. (Note: the original cost of the study was $65,000, but we’ve figured out how to accomplish the goal for less.)
