Hi! My name is Lucia Doherty, I was selected by my school to take part in a life-changing trip to Tanzania this July. To volunteer and help build schools for the children to have a brighter future.

This project is focused on St Mary's Ciara's School. Back in 2005 Ciara McLaughlin tragically passed away in a car accident which was 3 weeks before she was supposed to volunteer in Tanzania. Before Ciara's passing she attended a retreat where she wrote a prayer. "I believe that everything happens for a reason even though it is so hard at times. I believe that any person can make a difference and that one day with Gods help I can make a difference in the lives of people around me". We are going out to continue Ciara's legacy with helping others and building more schools for the young people that live there.
