Friends of Mayor Baxter Woods - Next steps

The Friends of Mayor Baxter Woods organized in September 2019, is dedicated to the preservation and protection of Mayor Baxter Wood's natural beauty, as well as its historic and cultural significance in Portland, Maine and the Deering Center neighborhood. Funds raised thus far were used to 1. Cover the costs of creating this charitable organization. Actual costs incurred were $700. 2. To purchase a domain name for the groups website, and pay for two years of web-hosting services - $275 3. Purchase of print and other supplies for business cards and City presentation materials - $100 Looking ahead we will need more financial resources to create new presentation materials for the coming City Council meetings and public relation efforts to defeat the City’s leash law proposal.
