Hi, my name is Mia and I’m fundraising to support the work of Friends of Burley Park.

Burley Park is partially cared for by a group of local volunteers, the Friends of Burley Park, who work to keep the park looking its best for everyone in the community.

The group has been looking for new ways to engage the community in utilising our amazing green space. Coming up is the park’s 125th anniversary and Friends of Burley Park are putting on an event with 4 live bands, a treasure hunt, and a picnic.

I am fundraising to support with community building events such as these, as well as the everyday admin that is required to run the group such as venue hire for meetings and insurance.

All contributions are appreciated. Grassroots organisations such as Friends of Burley Park and free access to our public green spaces are foundational for healthy communities.
