“Enduring abuse is something that no one should have to go through; yet going through a fire meant to consume and destroy you while continuing to honor the humanity within and around you is deeply empowering.

I have the opportunity to write a new chapter in my book of life. One that centers, happiness and stability for myself and my babies. I am beyond fortunate to have landed in a community here in HoCo Maryland that has the same love and support of my home community back in New Mexico.

The past year and a half I‘ve spent fighting emotionally and financially and I’m ready for a rest. I have managed to rebuild the foundation, so viciously ripped from underneath me for my children with a lot of faith, prayer and a wonderful support system. The threat of “bleeding me dry “financially was the one promise that was kept ; I had to pay a lot to buy this freedom. Attorney fees are the one thing that seemed to keep multiplying in my life . It takes a bit of swallowing pride to ask for help, but I also have a strong belief that things come full circle and good will always come back to you. My ancestors didn’t survive genocide for me to give up now.

For anyone that knows my story, I thank you for your support. Life is what we make of it and I am determined to make my beautiful one. Heaven never wastes pain, there is a lesson in everything if you seek it. “
