As a child, I was abandoned into state custody because of my parents' addiction. I spent years in abusive foster homes, surrounded by people who didn't believe in me or want to see me do better. Growing up without support made it hard to imagine a brighter future, but I always hoped things could change.

If I had known then what I know now, I would have made a plan to be financially stable and secure my career. Today, I'm determined to start over and build a life I can be proud of. I'm looking for housing and a job, but without a car or anyone to sponsor me, it's been incredibly difficult. Every day, I work toward finding stability and independence, even when the odds feel stacked against me.
