Fresh Hope Barbers and Wellness started with a simple idea: a haircut can change someone’s life. In Ottawa, thousands of people experience homelessness and housing instability. They’re invisible. They’re told they don’t matter. We’re showing them they do. What We Do:                 1. Community Haircuts – Free and low-cost cuts for people in shelters and transitional housing. Not charity. Dignity.                              2. Women’s Wellness Program – Hair care + mental health conversations with a female stylist. A safe space for women to feel heard and cared for.                                                        3. Skills Training – We’re training youth and newcomers to become barbers. Real jobs. Real futures. Not handouts. Why This Matters: A person experiencing homelessness walks into our chair. We see them. We listen. They leave with a fresh cut and knowing someone believes in them. That’s the difference between surviving and rebuilding.                                   The Numbers: • 12 community members served last month • 5 partnerships active (Ottawa Mission, Salvation Army, OCISO ,veteran house , Carty House) • 1 volunteer trainee in barbering skills program • Unlimited potential if we have resources Your Money Goes To: • Supplies (clippers, razors, hair products) • Partnership support for shelter and housing organizations • Stipends for volunteer trainers • Expanding to reach 50+ people monthly
