Freezebury in the name of Tommy's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Thank you for visiting this page and taking a moment to read about a cause close to my heart. My name is Andrew and I’m raising funds in the name of my brother Thomas, who has been courageously battling cancer for nearly three years in New Jersey, USA. Throughout his journey, Thomas has faced countless ups and downs, all while being a devoted father to his 3-year-old son, Tommy, and a loving husband to his wife, Hayde.
To support Thomas and others impacted by cancer, I am taking part in the Freezebury Challenge this February. This challenge involves immersing myself in the cold waters of the Irish Sea (or any cold body of water) for one minute longer each day — starting at 1 minute on February 1st and building up to 28 minutes on February 28th.
I am aiming to raise €1,000 for two incredible organizations:
Purple House Cancer Support in Bray, County Wicklow, which provides essential care and services to cancer patients and their families.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States, where Thomas has been receiving treatment.
Both organizations are making a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer, and I want to do my part to support them.
Every donation, big or small, will help these organizations continue their vital work and show Thomas and his family that they are not alone in this fight.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and generosity. I’ll be sharing updates throughout the challenge to keep you all informed of my progress — and probably a few freezing reactions from my dips in the sea!
Warmest wishes (it's not going to be so warm),
Andrew
