Many of you know that God placed a call on our hearts to adopt a child. We have always sensed that adoption would be a part of our story, and over the last couple of years, it has become overwhelmingly clear that now is the time to take this step as a family.  Just as we have been adopted into God's family, we know that he has called us to open our family and adopt a child into our home.

Over the last year, we completed our paperwork, background checks, adoption training, and home study, to be ready at any moment to bring a child into our home. This process has opened our eyes to the beautiful, messy, heartbreaking, and hope-filled world of adoption. It's not easy, for anyone. It's not easy for a birth mom or birth dad. It's not easy for a child. And it's not easy for adoptive parents. But somehow, God shows his grace on everyone involved and answers prayers in ways that only he can.

Speaking of answering prayers, one that we are still trusting God to answer for us is for the financial provision to see the adoption through to completion. The total cost for our adoption journey is $40,000. The good news is that we have already raised most of this privately through friends and loved ones who have been incredibly generous to us! We just have one last stretch to go and then we will be fully funded!

Our final step is to share this with all of you and ask you to prayerfully partner with us to raise the remainder of the funds needed to complete the adoption journey. We would simply ask you to pray, and if God leads, to give whatever amount you are able in order to help us bring this child into our home. We would also ask you to keep us, our soon-to-be adopted child, and the birth mom and dad in your prayers. We love you all!
