Freeland Projects - Sarah Furey

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Furey.

In March 2026, I will be travelling with a group of approximately 30 volunteers to Cape Town, South Africa. We will be redeveloping the safe house that Freeland Projects built in 2024.

This will be my first time travelling with the group and volunteering abroad and I am very excited for this journey.

The safe house in 2024 was built for vulnerable and abandoned children to give them a place to call home.

This year, we aim to improve our safe home, in which we will be focusing on supporting and protecting the children. We will be designing a sensory room, a one-on-one room for counseling and lots more to provide the children with an opportunity for a secure and happy life.

My target is to raise €4,000. This will cover my airfare, accommodation and building expenses.
