Freedom For the Local (FF Local) provides real life resources for those in crisis. FF Local is based in Augusta, Georgia and was started by Annie Morgan.

 

Today’s society thrives on the one-stop-shop methodology for information and resources. Examples like Kayak and Travelocity for travel, or Uber eats and Grubhub for food delivery align with our culture’s instantaneous desire for information. Unfortunately, there is a distinct lack of information when it comes to resources for our friends and family in crisis. Freedom For the Local (FF Local) is here to provide up-to-date resources for individuals in crisis. Resources are abundant in most areas but when an individual is in a time of crisis, they do not have the capacity to research the best option. FF Local will reach each individual exactly where they are and lead them to what they need. A resource for someone in crisis is as specific as a fingerprint and deserves to be tailored to the individual in need. Resources can range from an article or book to providing educational or supportive information to a hotline or getting an appointment with someone who can further assist. The site is accessible to everyone no matter your status, what you have been through or what you may be going through. FF Local aims to be the primary resource for those in crisis and will continue to change lives one click at a time.

 

Annie recognized this need and has chosen to pilot FF Local in the areas around Augusta, Georgia. The dream is to continually expand the area and grow to become a nationwide resource for those in crisis. While Annie is continuing to pursue her Masters in Counseling, she could not pass up the calling to start this non-profit. FF Local is still in its infant stages and is continuing to gain support and growth through Annie's hard work and dedication. This campaign is to continue that growth and financially support this cause through a start up donation.
