Free Wayne: Emergency Action!

Wayne Martin Freeman, a dedicated father of three and a passionate advocate for social change is facing serious legal challenges that require our support. Currently a PhD student in Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, Wayne has spent his life fighting for justice and empowering others. His work spans the fields of youth education, sports, and ethnic studies, and he has always been a fierce proponent of anti-colonial, anti-racist, and anti-capitalist values. As a former high school basketball player and long-time youth coach, Wayne has poured his heart into uplifting his community—organizing free basketball clinics, food drives, and creating programs like MOVE at CU Boulder.

Wayne’s advocacy has led to him being unjustly accused of serious charges. He is currently being held at the San Bernardino Sheriff's Central Station on a $175,000 bail, with his arraignment scheduled for 12/31 at 8:00 AM at San Bernardino Superior Court. During this time, Wayne is unable to communicate with his family and loved ones, who are working tirelessly to support him in any way possible.

As his family, we are seeking your help to cover Wayne’s commissary needs while he is incarcerated and to ensure that he has the support and resources necessary for his legal defense.
