My name is Terrence Williams, and 18 years ago, I was falsely accused of armed robbery. As an amateur boxer on the cusp of going pro, I was out on my daily jog when I was apprehended and beaten viciously by the Jefferson Parish Police in New Orleans, Louisiana. While on trial, tooth and nail were pulled to put me away. The judge went as far as shackling me down, liking me to an uncontrollable animal, and shutting down any arguments to defend my case. Unfortunately, was found guilty on a 10-2 ruling and was sentenced to 49 years of hard labor with no possibility of parole. 18 years later, I am still fighting for my freedom. With the recent 10-2 Jim Crow law being overturned, I am close to my goal of rejoining my family and finally being free.

Currently, I am being held in Raymond LaBorde Correctional Center in Cottonport, Louisiana. As I work toward securing my freedom, it is important for me to ensure a competent council so I can be properly represented in court. I have retained Brooke Delaune from The law firm of Manasseh, Gill, Knipe, & Bélanger in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am seeking money to help pay my lawyer fees so that this fight can continue. I appreciate any support that you can provide, big or small.
