Aloha, my name is Daniel Lopez. On August 8th, 2023 I was blessed to have escaped the Lahaina wildfires with my girlfriend and her two cats. Lahaina is our home and we want to give back to our community as much as they’ve given back to us. As an owner of a successful food truck on the mainland, I feel bringing my truck to Maui is the way I can best contribute.

Unfortunately, like most residents of Lahaina, we lost our home and all of our belongings to the fire. As we rebuild our lives, we would love to feed the first responders and displaced residents of our community; however, we are at a financial dead end.

Once the food truck is established we would like to be able to serve 5,000 free tacos to Lahaina residents and anyone else in need at a 100% donation based rate.

Initially, funds that are raised will be used for start up costs- shipping from California, permits to legally open and serve food, product, etc. I would like to get the truck open and running in Maui as soon as possible. Ideally, we would love to raise enough donations to feed the people of Lahaina until our community is restored.

In the meantime, we are reaching out to FEMA and other government agencies to become the official caterer of the Lahaina rebuild.

We hope those who are able will find the kindness in their hearts to donate to our cause and support us through this process.
