After the recent shooting of a fellow nurse, I felt a strong calling to do more to help others be prepared for emergencies. Stop the Bleed is great live-saving tool that anyone can use in an emergency, like a car crash or even an accident at home. I have personally used the skills and tools taught in this class to save a motorcyclist after they were run over by a bus, proving just how effective Stop the Bleed can be.

As a registered nurse and a certified Stop the Bleed instructor, I am passionate about giving back to my community. Unfortunately, there are currently no Stop the Bleed courses available within two hours of the North Oregon Coast. I plan to change that by offering these classes for free to anyone who wants to learn. However, the supplies needed to teach these courses—like the training kits and classroom space—can be very expensive. With your support, I will purchase the necessary training materials and make these lifesaving classes accessible to everyone in our community.
