Periods don’t stop for pandemics. For many who’ve either been unable to leave their homes or have been experiencing poverty recently, dealing with menstruation comfortably and safely has been difficult or impossible. That’s why our group Radical Democracy is starting a fundraising drive to supply students in need with pads and tampons. We want to fight the stigma around periods in order to make these products more accessible to everyone. We also believe that free market fundamentalism is the root cause of many conditions of human suffering, and that those in poverty shouldn’t have to suffer through their periods in silence. We aim to undermine this rigged system, using mutual aid as a strategy to level the playing field. We need your donations to facilitate this drive.
