I'm the oldest son of Juan and Alejandra Palacios, who were detained by ICE on Monday, August 4, 2025, during their check-in appointment with immigration. They have a case pending that gives us hope that we can fight to get them out of custody and they can continue to stay and work in the US. They opened their case towards citizenship in 1992, and it has been ongoing ever since. Both of my parents have been in the US for over 38 years and have been good, hardworking parents, providing for six children. They're individuals who didn't want or use any government assistance and have paid their fair share in taxes to the system.
