Please help me get my baby girl back.
My daughter Juliet is only 17 months old and has been alone in a shelter for almost a month. She desperately needs to be reunited with us.
On December 28th, Juliet and her father were detained at the border. They were separated immediately; she was taken to a shelter in Texas while he was taken to a different prison. I can only imagine how lonely my baby feels without us. We came here because our lives are at risk in Honduras. My husband wants to ask for asylum but they are threatening to deport him any day now.
Every day the shelter gives me another reason why I can’t have my baby back. First they told me I needed a credit card to pay for flights that could cost up to $4, 000.00. Then they said I need a debit card. Now they are saying Juliet’s father has to fill out more paperwork. They don’t know if they will be able to return my daughter to me if her father is deported.
As a mother, all I want is to be with my baby again.
I have only been in the US for 3 weeks, I have two other small children who need my support, and have no money or anyone that can support me. If you are able to help me reunite with Juliet and support my other young children in our asylum process I would greatly appreciate it.
