Local Free Meal program-needs refrigerator repair!
The large refrigerator commercial refrigerator we rely on has stopped functioning, and we could use your help.
It may surprise you as to the number of families in our community that need a wholesome meal.
Over 11 years ago members of three North Olmsted churches:
- Saint Clarence Catholic Parish,
- Saint Richards Catholic Parish and
- North Olmsted United Methodist Church
joined together to start a Free Community Meal program.
Every month, volunteers from these churches get together and prepare meals. They serve anywhere between 80-150 meals for those in need in our community.
That's over 15,000 meals to date.
We serve these meals from the same location every month.
- It makes it easy to remember where to go and
- it keeps the wear and tear on appliances limited to only one church kitchen.
A few weeks ago our 16-year-old refrigerator stopped functioning due to a compressor failure. This is the refrigerator we all use for food storage and preparation.
We are asking for your help with a small donation to help offset the cost of the repair of this appliance.
We are seeking to raise $1550 to pay for the repair to this essential appliance.
If there are any excess funds raised, all additional funding will go towards food for the Free Community Meal program.
Any donation to offset the cost of this critical appliance is greatly appreciated.
If any excess monies are raised we will devote those funds to purchasing food for the program.
Thank you and God Bless.
