Community, we need your help.

I recently spoke with a local mom whose story truly humbled me. She wasn’t looking for help or a handout, but her situation is one that no hardworking family should have to face.

She and her husband are currently living out of motels, paying $600 a week just to have a roof over their heads. He has his CDL — after being laid off for a while, he’s back at work, but nearly his entire paycheck is going straight to motel costs. She’s working 7 days a week to keep their daughter in private school, determined to give her a better future.

This family has already been through so much, including the heartbreaking loss of a child. Despite all of this, their focus is on stability and creating a safe home for their daughter. She told me she would gladly take a 1-bedroom apartment and sleep on the couch just so her little girl can have her own room.

I’m making calls daily to find a landlord who will work with them despite less-than-perfect credit. They’re working hard to rebuild it, but what they need now is a chance.

Here’s how we can step in:

• $2,500 for a security deposit so they can finally move into a home.

• $7,000 toward a reliable car (or a donated vehicle if anyone has one to give).

They can afford rent — they’re already paying more than most mortgages just to stay in a motel — but they need help with these upfront hurdles.

This is one of the most humble, thankful families I’ve ever spoken to, and I truly believe our community can change their lives.

Any amount you can give will go directly toward giving them a stable home and a fresh start.
