This July, Freddie O’Gorman will be doing his very first skydive at Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent: a 12,000-foot jump. Freddie has wanted to do this jump from a very young age and counted down the days until his sixteenth birthday. He’s looking forward to the big day!
Freddie also wants to raise funds for this year’s pilgrimage to Lourdes, an event attended by many within Kairos Community Trust. In 2023, Fred completed his maiden bungee jump and raised over £1,100 for this same cause.
Freddie has been part of the Kairos family from a very young age through his father, now the Deputy at Bethwin Road. Over the years, Freddie has enjoyed being part of Osea Island, Buckfast Abbey, Bickley fairs and Crewe, to name just a few. Freddie may one day go to Lourdes but is currently in the middle of very important academic studies.
The annual pilgrimage to Lourdes has run since 2010 and is a major event that many members of the Kairos community - staff, residents and friends alike - have taken part in over the years. This September, a party of 56 will travel to Lourdes, where they will serve at the hospital for less able-bodied guests who require much care and support, while enjoying their own five-day personal pilgrimage.
Please support Freddie with your donations. Every penny raised will go towards supporting Lourdes 2025.
Thank you!
