Each year so far we have been totally overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone and we have filled 6 bags for SCBU with so many gifts for the families to make memories they can treasure with their little ones.

We don't expect people to keep giving as much as previous years but we would still like to do something in memory of Freddie. Last year I aimed to get enough money to buy 6 cuddly toys and some sweet treats for the families with a special Freddie's Friends bag for it all to go in. We managed to get above and beyond that which was incredible.

For anyone who doesn’t know our story our beautiful Freddie was born on 19th November 2021. He was diagnosed with Full Trisomy 18 also known as Edward’s Syndrome after early screening during pregnancy. We made the decision to carry on with our pregnancy as long as he wasn’t suffering. He was a true fighter and against all the odds of this life limiting condition we had 2 & 1/2 beautiful days with him. At the point we could see he was suffering we knew it was time to say goodbye. 

Even though what happened to us is totally unfair and so cruel we know that in a really crap situation how lucky we were to even get to meet him. 

I see so many stories of T18 babies born sleeping and we had 2 & 1/2 perfect whole days of loving him, feeding him, changing his nappies and just being a mummy and daddy. Baby loss is something no parent should ever have to deal with. 

We know Freddie is up there playing on the rainbows and he will always be the brightest star ⭐️ in the night sky and he will forever be in our broken hearts. Not a day goes by we don’t think about him and we miss him so much and will love him forever!
