Hi, I’m Eddie, and I do a lot of walking for various military charities. My 7 year old son Freddie has watched me do these walks and seen my climb mountains, and now wants to do it himself!

He is a member of Beavers at 1st Sawley Scout Group, who are fundraising for a new HQ.

The current building is 50 years old and not totally suitable for the groups any more, and any further refurbishment is no longer economically viable.

Freddie has decided he will take on his biggest challenge, and asks people sponsor him in order to raise funds towards this development for the scout group. He will be joining myself and some friends, in October 2025, to climb to the summit of Yr Wyddfa, aka Snowdon.

1 of the UKs highest peaks, and the tallest in Wales, this will be around 8 miles, over 1000m of challenging terrain. This is no easy feat for anybody, never mind a 7 year old on his 1st proper mountain!
