FREDAfrica Children's home and Youth Shelter

Dear friends of FREDAfrica, it is our great pleasure to thank you for the continued support towards all community projects in Uganda through FREDAfrica. With your monetary support, we managed to reach our planned activities of year 2024-2025.

However, still have many rivers to cross. At the moment our hand are tied up financially especially in the areas of feeding the youths from our homeless youth shelter and the children from our children's homes. We are looking for $881 to help cover for food and for utilities for both centres at least for the next 3 months.

Any penny counts and together can help improve the lives of those who always need our hand. We thank you once again for always considering FREDAfrica for with your donations.

With your help in 2024-2025, we reached 361 youths both in and out of schools on HIV/AIDS awareness and counseling, we reached 96 mosquito nets to needy families in Mugangu, reach 101 persons with disabilities with basic needs such as mattresses, clothes and soap.

Furthermore, with the help of a team of 8 people lead by Mr Jones managed to reach 1300 locals with medical supplies through FREDAfrica community medical camps on Buvuma Island. They also provided 1,420 local children with meals.

A water source was dug and built to enable 1,601 household have access to clean and safe water. FREDAfrica managed to turn the dreams of the 69 youths from our shelter to come to reliality after all graduated for national certificates in various training courses for self reliance.

We registered more 79 homeless youths who are now under our care. Due to raising number of infant street children, FREDAfrica started a children's home where we have 79 children under the age of 6 years. We thank you all for the great contribution which have made both of us reach this far.
