Miss Freda J is 78 years old, wheelchair bound, and has lived in the same house, off Sienna Parkway, her entire life.

Miss Freda’s current bathroom consist of a working toilet, that may or may not be correctly connected to her septic system, a vanity without a sink and a large tub that is not connected to a drain.

Miss Freda currently “showers” outside with a garden hose.

I was contacted by The Harvest Methodist Church, in Sienna, to see if I could help provide her with a workable bathroom.

The Harvest is providing some money to cover materials and Javier with Lamar Plumbing will be installing a water heater and plumbing the new bathroom.

Saturday, December 2nd, the Harvest Men’s Group is doing a volunteer day to demo and clean up Miss Freda’s current bathroom.

Sonny’s Home Services is donating labor and supplies towards the project.

However, we still need another $8000 to cover materials, electrical contractor and other costs to provide Miss Freda with a clean, safe and wheelchair friendly bathroom for her to use.
