Hello, I am Maria Leyburn and I grew up in Cape Verde. I came to the United States eight years ago when I married an American who I met while serving a mission in Brazil. Now I am a US citizen. I stayed home with the children and have not worked or acquired any skills/education. We have three small children together, ages 18 months, 4 and 6 years old.

Unfortunately, the marriage is ending. I am scared of losing my home and earning a livelihood. I need your help to pay for a lawyer and fight for the rights of these three children who are not to blame.

I would be so grateful for any help. With the money I will first pay my attorney's fees. My church is helping me with my education. Any surplus money will be such a blessing as I work to establish my independence.
