2 years ago I was given the incredible opportunity to serve the people of El Salvador. Our team packed bags of food essentials for families (picture below). We delivered them to mothers in local villages, and sang, danced, and prayed with them and their children.

Our hearts were to serve the people of El Salvador as much as we could in a week, but I underestimated how much this trip would minister to me personally. I’ll never forget praying with mothers bearing the weight of caring for their families while countless of their husbands, sons, and uncles were taken away to be tried during gang crackdowns. Or, the huge smiles on kids’ faces as we gave them toys and candy. We left feeling grateful to be a part of it and wishing we could do more.

I was able to serve on that trip because of all of you! I’m still blown away by the generosity of each person who gave to make it happen. You are a part of the impact made in El Salvador, thank you.

This year I have the opportunity to serve in Colombia with my husband Dave and a team of people from our church, Kingsway. I’m asking again for prayers and financial help to get there.

Our friends have been missionaries for the past 6 years in Colombia and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to serve them and their community for a week. They’ve been working with Convoy of Hope to execute multiple forms of community outreach and empowerment, as well as teaching local farmers to grow new crops. God is using them in incredible ways and we look forward to being a part of it.
