I’m creating this page on behalf of my son Frankie and his two boys, ages 14 and nine. My son is trying to get custody of his boys due to the damaging nature that they have been living under at their mother‘s house. He has custody of his 14-year-old son because he is old enough to say where he wants to live. He is also the reason that we were made aware of the circumstances that they were living in.

Frankie will be going to court to try for permanent custody of his 14-year-old and transferred custody of the nine-year-old who is still living with his mother. He is fighting an uphill battle because he is unable to retain a lawyer at this time and his ex-wife already has one. If given custody of both boys, he is going to need to get a better place to live where both of the boys will have rooms of their own. I have helped where I can as I posted on Facebook but I am unable to come up with enough money for a $5000 retainer. He works in a local hospital but the money he makes is barely enough to pay the child support for both boys, phone lines, car and insurance and groceries. He is holding off going to college to become a nurse which is his goal because right now his boys need his time and attention. He has sacrificed a lot to be a father that I am so proud of! The least I can do is humble myself enough to ask for help. Please consider helping him for the well-being of his boys. It is a shame that after a 14 old boy describes the type of neglect he has been suffering that the law doesn’t automatically remove both children from the home, to put them in the temporary custody of a father that is clearly fighting for them. But, the laws favor the mother and my nine-year-old grandson is left there while the courts decide whether my 14 yr old grandson is telling the truth. We are aware that the odds are against us and that’s why I am doing this. I am really hoping that we can get him some added help that we can’t afford to give him. I’m so grateful for all the friends and family I have that have taken the time to read this. Any support would help, including prayers and well wishes for the three of them.
