Last Saturday, Katie received a devastating phone call--while on duty for SDPD, Frank's motorcycle had slid into oncoming traffic crashing into a pickup truck. Frank suffered major injuries and after a grueling week in the hospital and a pelvic reconstruction surgery, he was transferred to a rehabilitation facility for an additional week before returning home to begin an 8-month recovery.

With two little ones at home, we can all imagine the intense pressure Frank and Katie are facing as they begin to navigate the healing process, childcare, and career obligations.

When life hits hard, our community, friends, and family will hit back harder. Let's support Frank, Katie, Selah, and Luke so that they don’t have to face this challenging time alone.

Our goal is to raise $15k to cover in-home nursing to aid Frank’s recovery, Katie’s significant decrease of income to provide care for Frank, and increased childcare for Katie to continue her work as a marriage and family therapist.
