Frank and Muffin's Path to a Home

Looking to do good in the world despite everything else going on around you? This is me with my girl Muffin. She’s smiling because she sleeps on the street with her owner, Frank, and I brought her this winter coat so she’s not so cold.

Frank and Muffin became homeless about 2 years ago after Frank’s dad passed away and they lost their home. There are a few of us that help Frank and Muffin out with food, clothes, blankets, etc. We’ve also been paying for him to sleep in a local hotel because no one should sleep outside ever, but especially not when it’s so cold outside and not when you’re sick (Frank) or 13 years old (Muffin).

We’ve been helping Frank get back on his feet and he now has replaced all his identification documents and has been approved for an apartment which will be funded through a county program to help rehome the homeless. He is beyond grateful for the support he’s received from all of us and says he never thought he’d be able to get his life back. And now we are SO CLOSE.

We are raising money now to help cover 1) the hotel cost for the next few weeks until the apartment is ready, 2) food and medicine for Frank and Muffin, and 3) costs associated with transitioning him back into a home.
