Francophone Food Festival Fundraiser for Haïti

The Alliance Française de Charloote Francophone Food Festival 2024 is a Fundraiser for the orphanage of "organization Friends of kids" and school "Ecole du Christ de Gens-De-Nantes" in Haïti. 

The AF project is to enhance the quality of French education as well as provide food to the orphans.

The orphanage “Organization Friends of Kids” and school “École du Christ de Gens-De Nantes” in Haiti are linked, and both are in serious need of support. There are 126 children in the school and the orphanage has 65 children: 36 girls and 29 boys. All the children in the orphanage attend this school. There are also children in the larger community who also attend the school.

The students attend this school free of charge. However, school supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, and books are not easily accessible and are in needed. The fundraiser will help purchase school supplies to all children attending the school.

For the orphanage the number one priority is providing food. Currently there is food scarcity, and these children cannot excel in their studies if they are hungry and unable to meet their basic nutritional needs throughout the day. The students are unable to focus on learning if they are wondering what they will eat after school. For the teachers, it is very hard to educate starving children. The fundraiser wil l help providing some food to the orphans.

A minimum Goal of: $3,000 will allow the school and orphanage to address some of these basic needs.

Alliance Française is committed to donate all proceeds to the fundraiser to the project.
