Franchesca is completely blind. Please help her.

After ice hockey yesterday in Sugar Land, several of us were standing outside having a cold pop when we were approached by Angela and her beautiful daughter Franchesca, who is COMPLETELY blind (born with no eyes!) and physically handicapped with a condition called Anophthalmia.

See photos of Angela and Franchesca, who although blind is trying her luck with the Star Skaters at Sugar Land Ice Center, an excellent program giving challenged kids the chance to skate and have fun in a controlled setting. Skating indoors in this controlled setting is the only sport for Franchesca as she is also allergic to the sun (why you see her wrapped up so tightly in clothing).

Angela was very distraught as she and her daughter were unexpectedly displaced from their apartment by their landlord, who was using harsh paints and chemicals making Franchesca very sick as she is allergic to most chemicals. They had to quickly move all their stuff to storage and stay with friends while they found a new apartment.

Angela asked if we would help her move her stuff from storage to her new apartment. Unfortunately, we all had plans yesterday but we did offer to raise money to pay for movers to move the belongings for her. Angela solicited quotes from 3 Men with a Truck and 2 Men with a Truck and the cost will be around $850.

So, on behalf of the players who were at hockey yesterday, we kindly ask for your assistance to help raise the funds to cover this move for Angela and her very special daughter. If you can kindly spare a few dollars that would be so very much appreciated, not just by Angela and Franchesca, but also by Star Skaters as well as the hockey players trying to help them out.

Funds collected will be paid directly to the moving company to pay for the cost of the move. In the event any additional funds are collected (we hope, with your help), ALL funds raised will be donated to Angela and Francesca to help them with their medical bills and other expenses.
