Fr. Brendan O' Shea's Missionary Work

Donation protected

My Uncle Brendan has devoted his life to working with the Missionaries of Africa. He has been in various parts of Africa working with communities and practicing his faith. His current vocation is with the Mua Mission in central Malawi, one of the oldest Catholic missions in the country. He was home with us in Ireland for the last three months and told us about all the projects within his community that he is committed to developing such as, the continued development of the Kungoni Centre of Culture and Art, and helping and giving supplies to local schools including the School for the Deaf.

Brendan is someone who truly inspires me and I decided that I wanted to raise money to help him with his work. This money will go to various projects within his community to help them grow and develop.

As both myself and Brendan climbed Carrauntoohil in April, and are both keen for walking and the outdoors, I thought climbing a mountain in each province in August would be a fitting tribute to him and his work. I've decided to climb Mount Errigal in Donegal, Croagh Patrick in Mayo, Lugnaquilla in Wicklow and Kerry's sacred pilgrimage walk, Cnoc na dTobar in Cahersiveen.

'A Peak a Province' in August is here and I'm excited to get hiking for this great cause. Every donation no matter how big or small will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that is very close to my heart and all the O' Shea's.
