Blackdog Outdoors has always been a big part of me since we created the charity pre covid, I look after the walking and skills events in England and Wales and work as part of a team to create a safe space for people to share our fantastic green space. We see the difference each time to everyone that attends from open events to annual projects that run monthly with different associations and to overseas expeditions.
More information about Blackdog Outdoors: Our aim is to support people in spending more time in a natural setting, as a means of improving their mental health and wellbeing. We achieve this by providing outdoor recreational events that are free to attend by those affected by poor mental health. These events are fully insured, delivered by qualified outdoor professionals, and supported by mental health first aid trained volunteers.
For the charity to keep that promise it continually needs to raise vital funds to run the events.
The challenge... The Snowdon 6
That's Snowdon 6 times! Yep 6 times.
Each main path up and down....
Llanberis
Pyg
Miners
Watkin path
Snowdon Ranger
Rhyd Ddu
Equals = 48 miles + 18,540 ft of ascent approx.
This will be my second round and the first one we gave ourselves a 30 hour target, this time we're going to up the challenge and have a 24 hour target time! Joining me again is Tracy and I'm looking forward to facing it together.
Support us by sharing the story and helping us raise some money to help run our events in 2027, without funding our events are in jeopardy of not running.
