This August,  20 Physical Therapy Students from Franklin Pierce University will be traveling to Nicaragua for a week long service trip accompanied by Franklin Pierce professors.  While there, we will be providing physical therapy intervention along with health care education to community members who otherwise would not have access to the proper care.  46% of Nicaragua’s population lives below the poverty line, which has caused extremely poor health conditions across the country.  Our week will be spent treating patients of all ages while working with licensed professionals and translators to ensure that the best care is provided.
