Foxfire has been affected by COVID-19 and it’s been difficult because none of us knew this pandemic was going to become what it has. Terri and Jacki are great owners and this fundraiser is to help them pay rent, utilities, and to help the staff that also been affected by the pandemic. We are currently running on a part-time basis, on a skeleton crew. Until things return to normal, the rest of the staff is not working. Terri and Jacki’s decision to close the door for staff and customer safety from COVID-19 was on March 19, 2020. Foxfire has been in business for 16 years in Alexandria, Virginia. It’s been the neighborhood spot for so many. It was a stunning moment for all of us to lock our doors.
Fortunately, we are now providing take out, and we appreciate everyone that has been supporting our curbside pickup and delivery. Thank you for adapting to the new normal for the moment. But here’s the truth – despite the little bit we are doing to provide food and stay open it’s not enough.
This part is about Terri and Jacki. We know no one can disagree that they both have great souls. They both care about their neighborhood, and dogs of course! In fact, even during this crazy time, Terri has driven to a dog rescue to donate food and bleach. They always put staff, friends, neighbors, and guests first before themselves. They help the community. And they do this with no second thoughts.
This is our effort to help give to give back to these women that give so much. We’re creating this fund to help our skeleton crew and two amazing owners.
We want to thank our amazing customers that have been supporting us since the beginning. We had so much wonderful momentum after the remodel from Restaurant Impossible. We can’t believe what great support we have from all of you. We are all in this together. No donation is too small.
