On Wednesday, November 1, in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, our 130 year old barn with milking parlor burned to the ground. All of our 18 employees and 800+ cows are safe. However, the cows all had to be moved to other farms leaving many of our employees without jobs.
We wanted to started this page to collect funds to give directly to the employees who are affected by this fire. More than anything, we want to rebuild fast so that we don't have to lay anyone off and can put our amazing employees back to work ASAP.
We have had amazing community support, support of local farmers taking care of our cows temporarily and numerous people who lined up with trucks and trailers to haul the cows to those farms. We are incredibly thankful and humbled.
A separate bank account has been set up for these donations. Cris Peterson will withdrawal funds as needed for the employees to cover personal expenses during their employment transition.
