Hello, my name is Nancy Brownlee, and I am the founder of Dream At Home Foundation. This campaign is more than a fundraiser, it’s a promise to families who need someone to believe in them during one of the hardest seasons of their lives. Throughout my career, I have worked alongside individuals and families facing housing instability, financial hardship, and unexpected challenges. I’ve learned that most families are not lacking determination, they are often just one setback away from crisis, whether it’s a missed paycheck, a growing utility bill, or an unexpected expense.

These experiences led me to create Dream At Home Foundation, with a mission to serve as a lifeline by meeting urgent housing-related needs and supporting long-term housing security. We are committed to promoting housing stability and household well-being, helping families overcome temporary hardships before they become life-changing crises. We believe every family deserves not just a place to live, but the dignity, security, and peace of mind that comes with a stable home.

The need is constant and already present in our communities. Even before officially launching, families are reaching out for help—a single parent with five children struggling under an $800 electric bill, and another family unable to start a new job due to a broken vehicle. These families are not asking for handouts, they are asking for a chance to regain stability. Through the "Founding Families Campaign", we aim to raise $15,000 to provide emergency rent and utility assistance, transportation support, and other critical resources across Memphis, Shelby County, and beyond.
