Foster Pup’s Hip Surgeries

At only a year of age, Leroy has already faced so much hardship in his young life. He was a stray dog down in Alabama until being placed into a shelter, where he would spend a few long months. He was then put on death row, until Rottie Empire Rescue stepped in to save him. He was sent north to Upstate NY where he is now safe and loved as my foster dog until he finds his forever family.

Leroy is skin and bones with very little muscle mass from being kept stationary in the shelter for so long. He has been diagnosed with severe hip hysplasia and will need surgery with a board certified orthopedic surgeon so that he can live his days without pain. He will need surgery on each hip, one at a time, and has a great prognosis afterwards with proper care and exercise. We are working hard at building up his muscles.

Leroy is the sweetest soul. He loves cuddling, playing, camping, and hiking. He has had such a rough start to life and we want to make sure he has the best of days ahead of him.
