My name is Nicolas Chediak and I am working on a really important project, that I would love for you to be a part of. Children in the foster care system need a safe and loving place they can call home. I am working with an amazing organization called His House Children’s Home, a not-for-profit organization that works really hard to that end. They were established in 1989 dedicated to providing safe, caring homes, as well as restoring joy to the lives of children from newborn to 18 years of age, who have been abused, abandoned and neglected, and awaiting adoption.
I am fundraising $6000 to create a play room for these children, and provide them a safe space where they are free to not worry, and just have fun. These funds, along with the support of my Boy Scout Troop #575, will be used to create a living room area, with a video gaming station, a TV and assorted games and toys for the children at His House. Alongside the play area, we will be implanting a study area where kids can do their homework as well as participate in learning workshops conducted by the amazing team at His House. For this study area, we will be purchasing tables and chairs. We will also be creating a storage area where the toys and games can be securely stored. In addition, we will be painting and furnishing the room to complete an area that will create the perfect living area for these kids. We want to create a place they can call home.
Any extra funds we raise will be donated to His House, to help support their program in providing anything they can to make the lives of these children better and safer.
