I’m starting the Foster Family Relief Fund to support foster and adoptive families in a way that is often overlooked — by helping care for the caregivers. Families who welcome children from foster care are often navigating trauma, therapy appointments, school transitions, and intense emotional needs. It can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. When caregivers are overwhelmed and unsupported, burnout can happen, and placement disruptions become more likely. This initiative focuses on practical support that helps families stay stable and continue showing up for the children in their care.
Donations will help provide services such as respite babysitting, deep cleaning assistance, or lawn care — small but meaningful supports that give parents the breathing room they need during demanding seasons. The goal is to strengthen the village around these families. When caregivers receive support, they are better able to provide the consistency, patience, and stability that children need to heal and thrive.
Every contribution helps provide relief for families who are working hard to give children a safe and loving home. Please consider supporting this effort to care for the caregivers.
